In response to my impending departure, I’ve had many people asking me how I wanted to spend my last months here in D.C. Obviously, I responded with ‘having fun with my friends and not melting’ in the classic oppressive D.C. humidity. Many asked if there was anything specific I wanted to do. Each time I sat and thought and came up with a different answer.

Sounds like the perfect time for a bucket list right? So that’s exactly what I did. I have a small notebook I carry around with me to write to do lists in, take notes at conservation lectures, and any reminders for myself. I’ve put my bucket list in there too! Slowly but surely, I am crossing things off my list. Many items have been lumped together into days of epic fun with friends! The list has grown a bit too over time. Most of the stereotypical things (tour of the white house, all the memorials, Smithsonians, etc…) I have already done, so the list is more food places and museums off the beaten path. A few things have been repeats (Nats games, Mt. Vernon, some restaurants), but they’re my favorites and I’m leaving them… so I have to go again! Below is a gallery of some of the fun I’ve been having in crossing off my list! Enjoy!
